Arkae
Maenisto'o

The Spine of the World

Daughter loved and cherished, she grew up in a family of four, in one of the villages up in the mountains on the Abalathia's Spine. Her and Dawn, her sister, have always been ever so close, with a very calm father figure and probably one of the best and most fierce mages as mother as their loving parents.
Being part of a village that had been affiliated with the Garlean Empire in the past, Arkae and her family were considered the "black sheep" in their disdain of their actions and policies. At the age of 16, she left the village to unburden her family of the ire of the most vocal part of the tribe, the ones that hoped the alliance with the empire would happen again, realizing that leaving them behind would have drown them out.
Reckless as she has always been, soon after her departure she got her deep scar on her right eye while recovering materials to survive. This made her realize how much more careful she had to be to live out there, now all on her own.

The Warrior

212 cm (6,9 ft), muscular build, brown and purple hair with very striking light purple eyes, and an evergrowing amount of scars. Though she is more responsible and collected than in the past, her more impulsive side tends to manifest on occasion, mostly when those she holds dear are in danger or if she knows she can right wrongs.
Her father was the one to teach her the art of defending herself by close combat and the importance of always finding the balance within themselves. Though she is a follower of Nymeia's woven threads of fate, her father's faith in Rhalgr's rubbed off on her and she does look up to his figure. In Gyr Abania, all the many times she walked in the sandy halls of the Reach, she did offer more than a prayer toward her family back home, hoping health and happiness ailed them still.

Journey

Her life of adventuring had a rough start and overall hasn't been easy but she managed to carry on. When she found herself in Ul'dah, she realized how easy it was to her to solve her problems by punching them and that's how she decided to actually perfect her technique by joining the guild in the city, while working for them to pay the lessons.
The fated meeting with the Scions gave her the chance to get stronger and also more economically comfortable, letting her pick her crafting's talents up again.
